Cookie Policy

1. What this is about

This page lists every cookie and equivalent client-side storage technology used by ContentRank. We aim to be exhaustive: if you find something not listed here, that's a bug, please report it.

2. Strictly necessary (no consent required)

These are required for the Service to operate. They cannot be disabled.

3. Local browser storage (no consent required)

We use the browser's localStorage and sessionStorage to keep client-side state. This data lives on your device and is never sent to our servers without your action.

• ·localStorage cr_my_matches: list of match IDs you've submitted, to power your private "my matches" view. Maximum 50 entries, oldest dropped first.
• ·localStorage cr_fingerprint: an anonymous browser fingerprint hash, used to identify your device for daily quota enforcement.
• ·sessionStorage: ephemeral state for the current tab (form drafts, UI preferences). Cleared when the tab closes.

You can clear local storage at any time via your browser settings (typically: dev tools → Application → Storage → Clear).

4. Analytics (consent required)

When you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics 4 collects aggregated usage data. We have IP anonymisation enabled. We do not enable Google Signals or advertising features.

Data sent to Google Analytics is processed in the United States and other Google data centres. See Google's privacy policy for details.

5. Manage your preferences

You can change your consent at any time. The cookie banner reappears via the Cookie preferences link in the footer. Refusing analytics cookies doesn't affect your ability to use the Service.

6. Third-party cookies and embeds

We don't embed third-party widgets (no Twitter / Facebook share widgets, no comment systems, no chat widgets). Our share buttons are plain links to platform intent URLs (Twitter, LinkedIn, Bluesky, Email): they don't load third-party cookies on our pages.
